Okay, here are all the ranks, what you can do once you have achieved a certain rank, and about that rank.
In a wolf pack, a wolf gains in rank by earning trust from the Alpha. Here, you gain rank by roleplay improvement. And, as time goes on, you can gain in rank by your character's trust and friendship with the Alphas.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Alpha: This is the highest rank in the pack. Alphas protect and defend the pack, and do their best to care for the members. They can be the strongest and most powerful, because they need to be. Alphas may have all spirits/elements and all abilities. But, they are not allowed to powerplay or godmode. No one is, as this would not be fair. Just keep in mind that if you decide to challenge the Alphas, you probably won't be the one winning. The other members need to respect the Alphas, but the Alphas also need to respect the other members.
Beta: Betas are the second rank in the pack. They are highly trusted and close to the Alphas. They take the Alphas' place when the time might be necessary. They also are allowed to have all spirits/elements and all abilities.
Gamma: The Gamma is sort of like the Advisor or the Councelor for the Alphas. He or she is highly trusted and helps the Alphas in decisions for the Pack and such. The Gamma may have all spirits/elements as well.
Guardian: Guardian's help in protecting the pack. They are usually the ones to greet new comers/loners/etc.. They watch over the boarders of the lands, and usually will fight off enemies before they enter the lands. If matters should get out of hand they can call on others. Enemies get past them all the time, however, for various reasons, such as trickery. Guardian's are limited to three elements.
Warrior: Warriors also help in protecting and defending the pack, however, they do most of the fighting in battles. They sometimes help in guarding the boarders, and are usually quite close with the Guardians. If and when the pack should go on a pack hunt, the Warriors are the ones who do most of it. They are also limited to three elements.
Messenger: Messengers are often called upon by the Alphas or other members of higher rank to do small missions or deliver messages to other members. Often in battle, they are used as a way of communication if one member can not communicate with another. They are limited to two elements of their own choice.
Elemental: Elementals are only the second rank in the pack. They are now able to carry an element of their choice. They need to respect those of higher rank, as all ranks do. They also can carry an amulet or jewel of some kind that carries their element.
Omega: This is the lowest rank of the pack. An Omega may have wings, but no elements. They usually are looked down upon. Omegas should respect the other wolves of the pack.
Remember, all members need to respect all members. So, no matter what rank you are, you still need to respect others.
Fighting for Ranks
If he or she so wishes, a wolf may fight to gain in rank. It would be wise for a wolf not to be fighting a wolf that is of a lot higher rank than itself, since the chances of them winning are quite low. To gain in rank by fighting, it would be best to do it slowly and gradually so that your chances of gain are higher. Just remember, the winner of the fight either gains or keeps the rank they have, but the loser is sent to the lowest rank, wings shredded (if they have any), and any elements lost. It would be best not to fight for a rank but rather to just earn it.
